Campus Bike Convention is a two-day event of meetings and reports on the topics of training, biomechanics, performance and nutrition in cycling: practical activities and workshops to share the most innovative methodologies, narrated by the best Italian and international experts.

“The world of cycling preparation and training is populated by numerous false myths that have no scientific basis and which prevent athletes from reaching their potential. At Campus we want to bring the public together with the most important Italian and international experts, with the aim of making the most modern methodologies available to those who want to participate” declares the director of CAMPUS, Omar Gatti.
Behind the project a prestigious committee of experts, brought together by Bikenomist with the support of Colnago, with the patronage of the Italian Cycling Federation, excellences of the world of international and Italian cycling who already give the first edition a significant depth.

Campus Bike Convention is therefore a vertical event, designed for professionals who work in the cycling sector - coaches, trainers, and athletes - but also for all those who, for passion, work or vocation, can find in the program a valuable training opportunity , learning, and also of “networking”.
The program will be intense: more than 25 speakers will take turns in the plenary hall and more than 30 workshops will involve the participants in the 5 rooms dedicated to training, performance, nutrition, biomechanics and strength.
The aim is to bridge the gap between theory and applied practice.
On the occasion of the Campus Bike Convention, Colnago will set up an exhibition with numerous models from the 60s to today, in a journey that will allow us to understand the technological innovation of bicycles and how materials, geometries and aerodynamic studies have led us to build means increasingly performing.

Among the speakers confirmed to date Diego Bragato, (Head of Performance of the Italian Cycling Federation), Davide Cassani (former Italian National Team Manager), Mikel Zabala (Spanish MTB National Team Manager), Alessandro Ballan (2009 World Champion), Marco Aurelio Fontana (Bronze at the London 2012 Olympics), Elisabetta Borgia (Psychologist of the Italian National Teams and Trek Segafredo) Marco Compri (Italian National Performance Team), Vittoria Bussi (Women's Hour Record) and various professionals and teachers including prof. Marco Belloli (Director of the Mechanics Department of the Milan Polytechnic), Prof. Samuele Marcora (leading fatigue expert in endurance sports) and many others.
A list of names selected on the basis of competence, experience and the sharing of an increasingly concrete scientific vision of cycling.
“It is now clear that in the field of cycling the time has come to abandon schemes and proposals that have no scientific basis, but which are so deeply rooted that they are not even questioned. With Campus Bike Convention we want to undermine these false myths, giving space to validated approaches and modern methodologies”, continues Omar Gatti.
“We immediately embraced this project which brings together some of the best experts in the world in cycling science. Since the very beginning, Colnago has always been synonymous with bicycle innovation and having the opportunity to make our past and present journey known in great detail is an opportunity not to be missed,” said Colnago's CEO, Nicola Rosin.
Campus Bike Convention registrations will be available from Wednesday 21 June. There is an in-presence registration method, which entitles you to participate in all the speeches in the plenary hall and in the workshops, or in streaming mode, to follow only the plenary speeches live online.
