Bryceland and Atherton in Mont Sainte Anne

1. Motocross mountain bike in flight during competition on natural terrain.
2. Cyclists and spectators witness a spectacular jump in a mountain bike race.

The 5th round of the World Cup was staged in Mont Sainte Anne on a very difficult track made treacherous by the wet ground, now a practice in Canada. Josh Bryceland returns competitive and wins after a dull season due to various injuries in a very tight race: second place for Loic Bruni for only 2 tenths while third is Troy Brosnan, 25 thousandths behind Bruni! The Italian Champion Francesco Colombo demonstrates his excellent form by finishing in 47th position. Gianluca Vernassa finishes in 59th position while Lorenzo Suding gets a 64th place despite a crash, scoring the 3rd best top speed of the day. Among women wins Rachel Atherton with second place Manon Carpenter and third Miriam Nicole.

Here are the highlights of the race.
