The latest update of the eBike Flow app allows eBikers to use the Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 displays as a key to unlock their eBike, in addition to their smartphone. Another new feature is the ability to optionally deactivate automatic unlocking.
Flexible key options offer even more effective theft protection
All functions are based on the free eBike Lock theft protection. Once installed, it deactivates the pedaling motor support as soon as the eBike is switched off. In addition to the mechanical bicycle lock, the eBike Lock thus offers additional security. Thanks to the update, this advantage can now also be used with the Kiox 300 and Kiox 500. Once the eBike is switched on and the respective display is connected, the eBikers can easily define their preferred key in the settings of the eBike Flow app: the smartphone, the display or both. This way you can lock and unlock the intelligent anti-theft protection by removing or inserting the display into the holder.
The possibility of using Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 as a key offers eBikers greater flexibility and convenience. If several people share an eBike, for example with family or friends, it is possible to define several digital keys and delete them again if necessary. The protection offered by eBike Lock is no longer tied to just one smartphone. Optionally, another new function of the eBike Flow app prevents the eBike from being automatically unlocked as soon as it is within Bluetooth range of the smartphone. To do this, users just need to deactivate the "Auto Unlock" feature in the eBike Flow app. You can then release the motor support to pedal the eBike by pressing and holding the 'Hold to unlock' button on the eBike Flow app home screen.
The most important things at a glance thanks to the personalized display
By linking with the eBike Lock, the functional range of the Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 displays for the intelligent system is further increased. Users can now independently arrange the content and order of display screens and define up to three tiles on one screen and up to 13 individual screens.
Depending on personal needs, they can display up to 30 different pieces of information: mountain bikers, for example, pedaling frequency, average and maximum speed, cycle tourists, for example, distance, gradient and range.
The update can be downloaded via the eBike Flow app, which is available for download in the relevant app store at no additional cost.
