BOA Technology is celebrating its 25th anniversary by introducing two firsts for the cycling world: new performance data from the BOA Fit System in shoes, and the debut of FS2 Dynamic360™, a helmet adjustment platform designed to deliver a more precise, stable, and customizable fit.
More speed and power transfer
According to testing at BOA’s Human Performance Fit Lab (HPFL), a BOA-Powered Wrap closure system can allow cyclists to achieve times up to 1,5% faster than traditional laces.
The company also highlights a net advantage of between 3 and 7 watts during pedaling, with benefits increasing as the effort progresses. Translated into the field, this would mean gains of up to 1 minute and 30 seconds on a 21,5 km climb at 7,5% gradient, completed in about an hour.

According to BOA, these benefits come from a more even distribution of pressure on the foot, better heel lock and the ability to make micro-adjustments while pedaling.
FS2 Dynamic360™ for helmets debuts

The real novelty of 2026, however, is represented by FS2 Dynamic360™, the new adjustment system for helmets.
Compared to traditional systems, BOA claims 40% greater adjustment precision, thanks to a micro-adjustable system with sub-millimeter accuracy. The goal is to offer a more uniform fit, reduce pressure points, and increase the helmet's stability during use.
The system uses a low-friction structure with textile laces that wrap around the head, distributing tension along the entire circumference rather than concentrating it in the front and back areas.
How the FS2 system is made
The platform is composed of four main elements:
- FS2 dial with multidirectional adjustment
- Yoke FS2 that blocks the occipital bone and supports the sides of the head
- Front guide to improve pressure distribution
- TX1.2 low friction, high strength lace
The system also offers 11 vertical adjustment positions with 4mm intervals to accommodate different head shapes.
More stability and recycled materials
BOA claims that FS2 provides up to 6% better fit than traditional helmet adjustment systems. This is achieved thanks to even tension distribution and a better connection between helmet and head.
Also noteworthy is the use of 36% recycled materials within the platform, an aspect that demonstrates the company's focus on more sustainable solutions without sacrificing performance.
Availability
FS2 was developed for applications in road cycling, gravel, cross country, mountain biking, and winter sports. In the coming months, BOA's main partner brands will integrate it into their new 2026 helmet collections.
