Titouan Carod won the first round of the Banyoles Massi Super Cup which took place this afternoon. The French cyclist beat his teammate Filippo Colombo in the final stages of the race.

Colombo broke the delay on lap 2 together with Alan Hatherly, but at the end of the last lap Thomas Litcher, Ondej Link and Carod joined the leading group, with Carod winning in 1h15'46 ”.

Thomas Litscher completed the podium. To report a good performance for Luca Braidot, author of a great comeback at the end: 6th place a few seconds from the podium. Maxime Marotte was more late and finished in 28th position.

"Even today I didn't get off to a good start - Luca said after the arrival - Compared to the last few years I am still delayed in preparation due to a new program that aims to reach the top a little further. But today I had the first signs that the work done so far is starting to bear fruit. Precisely at the end, which has been my Achilles heel for some time, I was able to make a difference by recovering several positions."

Times in hand, the former Italian champion managed to make a constant progression that led him to improve at each lap, finishing in a comeback in 6th position, a few seconds from the podium: "I honestly didn't expect to be able to make it into the top ten. Not today. Not with this world cup parterre. A sign that I have worked well and that what has also been done with the team in recent weeks has been done in the best possible way. "
