But today I had the first signs that the work done so far is starting to bear fruit. Precisely at the end, which has been my Achilles heel for some time, I was able to make a difference by recovering several positions."

Times in hand, the former Italian champion managed to make a constant progression that led him to improve at each lap, finishing in a comeback in 6th position, a few seconds from the podium: "I honestly didn't expect to be able to make it into the top ten. Not today. Not with this world cup parterre. A sign that I have worked well and that what has also been done with the team in recent weeks has been done in the best possible way. "
