BikeUP: the European festival dedicated to e-bikes

From 20 to 22 May in Lecco three days with: international exhibition of electric bikes, section dedicated to cycle tourism, test rides and guided e-bike tours, UPHill, the street competition of electric MTBs and conferences on cycle tourism and issues relating to the e- sector. bike.

Now in its third edition, Bike UP is the first European event dedicated exclusively to pedal assisted bicycles. The Festival is an international exhibition of the major producers in the sector where it is possible to try different types of electric bicycles.

For the first time in Italy Agogs, Binova, EBIKE Das Original, Leisger, Pendix, and Gepida who have chosen BikeUP to present themselves to the public and to potential Italian distributors and dealers. E-Bike tours e-powered by Bosch
During the three days of the festival it is possible to try different types of pedal assisted bicycles and on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May the e-bike tours e-powered by Bosch will be activated: short 30-minute e-bike excursions with accompanied departures every hour. by expert guides on two different tracks: city / trekking and Mountain Bike. In this way the visitor will be able to try out different models of pedal assisted bikes in depth. Sign up at this address by choosing the time and route you prefer.

UPHill
True heart of the festival, UPHill, the first street competition dedicated to electric mountain bikes, will take place on Saturday 21 May. In an urban context such as the historic center of Lecco, batteries of e-riders will compete "on the last climb", facing ramps and obstacles, and overturning the dynamism of downhill races, without ever losing their spectacularity and strong involvement. The format of the race includes “Le Mans” starts, runs in which 4 athletes will face off at the same time and challenges divided into two categories: front suspended (mtb with front suspension fork) and full suspended (mtb with suspension both front and rear). After the qualifiers in the afternoon, the race will take place in the early evening, and then proceed to the award ceremony during the party and the evening DJ set.

BikeUP is also an activity for families. On Sundays, children aged 18 months and over are invited to StriderUP, road education by playing with balance bikes.

Admission to the exhibition, the UPHill competition and participation in workshops and conferences is free. Participation in test rides (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) and e-bike tours (Saturday and Sunday) involves a free donation (recommended offer 2 euros) which will be entirely donated to the Casa Don Guanella Educational Community.
