Upon arrival at the Andalo Base Camp on Friday 27 May, the participants received a program that also worked as a voucher.

These vouchers could be exchanged for a variety of exhibiting company gadgets, rather than for drinks at the participating shelters. Three shelters involved in the event (Dosson, Meriz and Montanara) and a visit to each of these shelters was really worth it for several reasons: firstly, all the fabulous gadgets (including high quality merchandise such as a kit for Oakley lens cleaning, a set of Crankbrothers CO2, a Pirelli inner tube); secondly, to cycle on the different paths that connect the refuges; thirdly, for the truly exceptional food. Last but not least, in each shelter there were DJs playing their best tunes all day.
In the Molveno Zone at the La Montanara Refuge, the Lower Bavarian DJ trio Acoustic Airline Travels played non-stop to the sound of dope electro rhythms, making the refuge participants stay longer than expected. Plus, after yoga classes and with a freshly baked edition of Golden Ride Magazine in their backpack, they are back on the trails even more motivated.
At the Fai Zone, DJ duo 24/7 Sound from Munich and DJ Dan from Texta (Linz / AUT) made the turntable spin so hard that being able to eat was a challenge due to all the head shots of the attendees! A little battle between bike mates ensured the fun, not to mention when people had to haul a 50kg pallet behind them on a mini bike as a challenge.
In terms of activities, the Dosson refuge in the Andalo area was the TOP: the Crankbrothers organized various challenges, including Bunny Hop and Bike Limbo, where people could win prizes, while Endura invited visitors to participate in a parkour of skill that included target practice. Among the highlights at the Dosson refuge are certainly the Andrea Maranelli Trial Show and the opportunity to challenge Italian top riders Alex and Danny Lupato by bike.
But after the "work on the pedals", the day had just begun: in the late afternoon all the cyclists met at the departure of the Andalo cable car, where on Friday the Turin band The Sweet Life Society held a concert which will be discussed again for a lot of time. The band managed to attract even the most hesitant visitors to the front row, and between the Sirtaki and the wood fights to the stage dives, everything that belongs to a real après bike afternoon has been done! Even though the event was supposed to end by 20.30pm, the dancing didn't stop until 22pm. Just in time to get a pizza in one of the restaurants.
Saturday was very similar to Friday: lots of fun on the trails under the bright sun, and moments of relaxation to recharge the batteries in the shelters of with the DJ sound.
Unfortunately, on Sunday it rained a lot, but despite the weather many were the enthusiasts who still reached the base camp to take one of the test bikes of Propain, Merida and Sempione to enjoy the trails, albeit wet, of the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Area.
