The 5-time world champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Juline Absalon crashes during an e-bike ride, first testing the quality of Ekoi's TRAIL FOREST helmet.
Nothing serious for the former pro rider apart from a good blow to the head, which fortunately, thanks to the helmet, does not seem to have reported complications.
Inside his post he thanks Ekoi for the quality of the helmet but does not talk about how he crashed and the dynamics are also difficult to interpret, surely it will have been a good blow. You don't see a shoe reduced in that state every day.
Here the question arises: were the shoes faulty or did Julien go down heavily? When the clips do not release everything becomes more painful, perhaps it was a good thing that the sole gave way allowing the French to detach himself from the bike.
This is just one of the many unpleasant examples that safety is never enough, we just have to wish all riders wonderful, fun and accident-free rides.
