Jofre Cullell, who rode for the Primaflor Mondraker Team last year, has found a team for 2023, namely the BH Coloma Team. The BH Coloma Team is none other than the former BH Templo Cafes UCC: same management but change of name. Athlete capable of interesting placements in the World Cup, such as 10th place a Lenzerheide or the 17th in Vallnord. Let's remember that Cullell was born in 1999, so 2022 was his 1st year among the Elites and he is already among the best Spanish interpreters in terms of cross country.
SPANISH TOP TEAM
Now all the members of the Spanish Olympic team in Tokyo are part of the BH Coloma Team: we remind you that David Valero has been reconfirmed, true and authentic revelation in this 2022. At 23, Jofre Cullell took part in the Tokyo Olympic Games, finishing in 15th place. Among the U23s he won a European champion title and several podiums in the World Cup.
2023 will be a pivotal year for the Olympics and being able to compete in Carlos Coloma's BH facility with colleagues like David Valero is a luxury. I'm really looking forward to the start of the season and to be able to share the Paddock with my team mates in the national calendar and international events – Jofre Cullell
DAVID DOMINGO CAMPOS MOTOS
David Campos, a promising U23 athlete who will move up to the Elite next year, will not continue in Carlos Coloma's team in 2023, after an excellent 2022. In 2022, among the Under23s, he won the Spanish XCO national title, silver at the European Championships XCC, 2 second places in the World Cup stages in Canada and Val di Sole, 4th place in the overall World Cup, 4th at the XCO European Championships and 10th at the XCO World Championships.
We are waiting, in these days, to know its future (update 13/01: the signing with Team Orbea has arrived).
CATRIEL SOTO
Catriel Soto and Carlos Coloma enjoy mutual esteem already in unsuspecting times. After a few years, they meet again to share the new BH Coloma Team project. The Argentinian athlete has 2 Olympic participations, 3 times Pan American XCO champion and 12 gold medals at nationals.
Catriel Soto will be the team man of the team, thanks to his experience, and will help strengthen the training part on the field. In the past, Carlos Coloma and Catriel Soto have been teammates but in recent years, Catriel has mainly competed in America, often complaining about the organizational gaps, and lack of investment, of the Argentine cycling federation.
Carlos Coloma's project also includes 3 children's schools with offices in Albelda de Iregua (La Rioja), La Nucia (Alicante) and Baza (Andalusia), and a Co-Factory Junior/U23 team, which will act as a reservoir for the Team greater.
A big and very exciting change is coming. I can't wait to race again in Europe and to be able to help Carlos Coloma in this beautiful project, which never stops growing – Catriel Soto
