On a day of light rain and cold temperatures, the 2015 Gravitalia National Circuit ends with Round # 5 in Santo Stefano d'Aveto. The fog has attenuated the splendid autumn colors of the valleys surrounding the town between Liguria and Emilia, while the rain has transformed the track into a monster of mud, between rocks, roots and imposing slopes, which have made this race an authentic exercise. of technical and athletic skills.
Several top riders have in fact paid for errors and crashes, finishing the race with high times. Alan Beggin (360 Degrees), on the other hand, plays his cards well and ends the run with the best time of the day: 3'08 ″ 95.
An excellent performance that the Italian Elite Champion dedicates to team manager and friend Walter Belli. Thanks to the points from this overall stage victory, Alan climbs from seventh to third position in the overall circuit classification.
Mario Milani (Ancillotti Doganaccia) celebrates the best result of the season in the Gravitalia National Circuit by climbing on the second step of the podium thanks to an excellent run that stops the clock at 3'11 ″ 38.
Third position for Stefano Mezzetta who joins teammate Alan Beggin in the celebrations dedicated to Walter. Stefano proves his worth on one of the most challenging tracks ever in the national DH panorama, finishing 3 ″ 44 behind the best time of the day.
The Italian Champion Francesco Colombo (AB Devinci Italy) closes in fourth position and earns enough points to put the final seal on the title of leader of the 2015 Gravitalia National Circuit. Fifth place for Tommaso Francardo (Pedroni Cycles Racing) who proves to have the cards in rule to be able to play with the top national riders.
Eleonora Farina (Mangusta Bike) sets the lowest time in the women's field, closing the demanding Santo Stefano d'Aveto track in 3'56 ″ 30. With this victory Eleonora confirms herself as the absolute winner of the 2015 Gravitalia National Circuit.
Second position for Rosaria Fuccio (Ancillotti Doganaccia) just 2 ″ 43 behind Eleonora's best time. An important growth this season, thanks to which she closes in second place in the general classification of the circuit. Third position for the very young Beatrice Migliorini (FRM Young Factory Team) who proves to have the same stuff as her father Stefano, great international DH champion of many seasons ago.
Simone Fabbri (Tartana Bike) wins the absolute amateurs with a time of 3'23 ″ 52. An important performance if you compare his time with those of the Men's Agonists category.
Luca Fusani (GS Pro-M), winner of the qualifying heats, chases him almost two seconds behind him. Third place for Fabrizio Dragoni (Alessi Racing) who takes home the jersey and title of leader of the 2015 Gravitalia National Circuit.
