Anneke Beerten (NED, Specialized Racing) and Nicolas Lau (FRA, Cube Action Team) took the victory in the second race of the Specialized-Sram Enduro Series, which was the final event of the Garda Trentino Bike Festival yesterday: the two athletes like this repeat last year's success, again on Lake Garda.

Two-time world champion Beerten finished the four Specials of the 34 kilometers of the track in 14: 31.49 and relegated Anita Gehrig (SUI, Ibis Cycles Enduro Racing, 15: 02.77) and Raphaela Richter (GER, Radon Factory Enduro, 15: 14.77) in second and third place in the female category.

In the men's Elite category, Daniel Schemmel (AUT, DO-Biker / Scott, 11: 12.30) and Fabian Scholz (GER, Focus Trail Team, 11: 13.99) reached the podium as second and third after Lau (10: 43.32) while Michal Prokop (CZE, Specialized Racing), winner of the circuit's opening race, had to settle for fourth place.

After facing the fog and a slippery track, the key to the success of the Beerten was the perfect fourth Special, which allowed her to lead the main rival, Richter, winner of the opening race of the Specialized-Sram circuit.
Beerten said she wasn't too worried about the fog and she liked the track. "I was able to be immediately fluid in driving, this was important to win."

On the contrary, Lau dominated the race, setting the best time in all four stages: "I tried to get off as clean as possible but I'm surprised to have won, I didn't expect it and I'm super happy."

Jana Goetze (GER, Santa Claus Syndicat) and Clemens Bachmann (GER, Freeriders Kochertal) won the Open category while Remo Heutschi (SUI) finished first in the Pro Masters category.
