The series of conferences dedicated to the world of cycling, sustainable mobility and the promotion of the territory will be in Rome on 21 February from 10 to 30 in the main hall of the Coni headquarters, thanks to the collaboration with Acsi. “Sport as a vector of communication and education: focus on the new generations” is the title of the day dedicated to the role of sport as a lever for social change, to encourage the transition towards a new way of understanding the bicycle, no longer just a competitive means of transport, but also a vehicle for cultural renewal with positive repercussions on health and the economy.

The role of sport in implementing social change, in sustainable development and in educational processes will be analyzed from different perspectives. The main players in the bike world, public and private, will sit together addressing various issues such as communication and the role of major events, territorial promotion, technology, health.

They will be present at the meeting, together with representatives of the best companies in the sector: for Acsi, the President Antonino Viti; for Acsi Ciclismo, the President Emiliano Borgna; the CEO of Flanders Classics, Tomas Van Den Spiegel, who will bring the Belgian experience with the Tour of Flanders; Cordiano Dagnoni, President of the Italian Cycling Federation; Beniamino Quintieri, President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Sports Credit; Andrea Girlanda, Senior Community, PR & Media Manager Italy of KOMOOT and Sebastiano Venneri, sociologist and President of Vivilitalia.

The proceedings will open with a video message from Coni President, Giovanni Malagò.

Be Off Cyling Meeting Hub will continue its series of conferences in various stages throughout Italy: on March 14th in Brembate at Vittoria Park to talk about bike economy; April 11th in Grosseto with a focus on tourism; on May 23rd in Turin with the key theme of lifestyle; on June 27th in Vicenza with a stage dedicated to infrastructure and smart cities. The journey will end on September 12th at the Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico with the Stati Generale della Bicicletta.
