Audi has just shown its latest creation, an e-MTB called the e-tron. The new e-tron is equipped with Ohlins suspension and Braking brakes with a front travel of 180mm while the rear is not declared but we also imagine around 180mm. Motorization Brose. Mullet wheel configuration, 27.5″ at the rear and 29″ at the front.

The project started several years ago, way back in 2012, with the first renderings of a very futuristic model. This model has never been officially marketed but now Audi is going into practice. Porsche, meanwhile. is looking for a foothold in the world of e-bikes, Audi (which belongs to the same corporate group, the Volkswagen Group) has also taken a step in that direction.

This is how they describe it on the official website. The electric mountain bike from Audi impresses with its performance and state-of-the-art technology. The versatile possibilities of use on different terrains range from touring cycling to enduro racing to downhill routes. The bico also captivates with its striking design, inspired by the Audi RS Q e-tron E2 rally car. It is a clear statement that underlines the affinity for electromobility and loyalty to the Audi brand. For difficult situations, the Audi electric mountain bike is equipped with suspension with 180 mm travel (Ohlins). Disc brake system technology comes from motorcycle racing. The frame is made with a mixed aluminum / Teilcarbon structure. The electric motor is powered by a 36-volt lithium-ion battery with 720 Wh with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 90 Nm. The assistance modes OFF, ECO, TOUR, SPORT and BOOST are available while driving, which define the thrust provided by the electric traction. The color display provides a variety of system information.

For this new electric bicycle from Audi, they have collaborated with the well-known Italian manufacturer Fantic, recently joined Bottecchia e VR46 and that it is investing a lot. The Ducati e-bikes have also adopted the same strategy in collaboration with Thok.

The assembly of the Braking Incas 2.0 brakes is surprising: very performing brakes but certainly not used to seeing them in first assembly. The engine is managed by Brose with its Brose Drive S Mag with 90Nm of torque which is connected to a 720Wh Fantic battery. The price of the Audi e-MTB is 8.900 euros and is available in 3 sizes (S, M and L).
