The Superenduro Powered By SRAM is back on the trails of Punta Ala, the location that opened the last edition of the Enduro World Series with a spectacular race appreciated all over the world, both for the quality of the trails and for the hospitality of Punta Ala Camping Resort, which has now become the reference structure for mountain bike lovers on the Tuscan coast.
Next 10/11 May, a weekend of pure fun awaits us among the typically Mediterranean-flavored paths of the Bandite Trail Area, a mixture of technical and physical, flow and suffering, capable of guaranteeing high spectacle and show for the public but at the same time to spread among all competitors an almost unique feeling of satisfaction in completing a race of this type.
As foreseen by the new Superenduro format, two days of competition are scheduled, with respectively 2 ps and 31km on Saturday and 3 ps and a total of 50 km on Sunday (see race card for more info on trails).
The Punta Ala race thus confirms itself as one of the toughest on the circuit, capable of putting the most prepared bikers to the test, however they too are intent on familiarizing themselves and finding the right pace on the 3 new trails introduced for the first time in this PRO: Kriminale Superveloce, Numbered Oak and Gagliardo.
Will the values on the field seen in Sestri Levante be confirmed? At Punta Ala there are specials suitable for different riding characteristics, rocky and dug like the Rock-Oh, harder to express resistance as some sections of the new PS are promising. For those who aspire to the podium at the end of the season in Punta Ala, it is necessary to give 100%, it is forbidden to lose contact with the top areas of the standings. No possibility of error, going home with zero or a few points would in all likelihood mean compromising the season. Among the tops, Ducci, Gambirasio, Alex Lupato, Fregona and Sottocornola, the enduro specialists, are against Denny Lupato, Milivinti and Casadei, who have shown they can fight for the victory.
Surprises and twists will certainly not be lacking.
In meeting you in Punta Ala, we remind you right now that on Friday afternoon at 17:00 pm you can take part again in SRAM's Friday Foundamentals at Five, an important occasion in the company of Tim Flooks to discover all the secrets of SRAM products and ask for some straight to the best setting for the race.
For info on the overnight stay with discounted rates, free parking and other services consult the tender sheet at this link, while for registration click here. We remind you that the deadline to register online for the race is Thursday at 20:00!
