Not even the time to enjoy the spectacle of the Emiliano-Romagnoli Apennines that Appenninica MTB Stage Race is already ready to dive into the preparations for next year. The mountain bike stage race looks ahead and gives an appointment for the fourth edition from 4 to 10 September 2022.

Ended almost two months ago, Appenninica was confirmed in 2021 as one of the most prestigious events in the panorama of Italian mountain biking, enjoying great success among athletes and professionals also at an international level. In view of the 2022 edition, the organizers of ASD Happy Trail MTB have chosen to bring forward the competition by one week, confirming however the positioning at the end of the summer for the third consecutive year.
"The goal is to grow further, strengthening the image of Appenninica MTB Stage Race as a unique race, for its technical caliber, for the wild and surprising landscape context, and for the truly special atmosphere that reigns inside this big family that meets once a year - say Beppe Salerno and Milena Bettocchi, co-organizers of the stage race -. The feedback received from athletes and professionals at the end of the 2021 edition gave us further energy and motivation: we want to focus on our characterizing elements and build around an increasingly engaging and attractive event, a showcase of excellence for the territory of Emilia-Romagna Apennines ".
With the announcement of the new dates comes the opening of registrations for the 2022 edition: the “Early Bird” phase will open on Monday November 15th and end on January 31st, and will be open for only 50 issues. At this stage, it will be possible to secure registration at the most convenient price, with the fee destined to rise in subsequent periods and the possibility of deferring the payment. Like most stage events, Appenninica is a full-service race, whose package therefore includes not only participation in the race but accommodation, meals, transfers between the stages and other services.

Also in 2022, the “solo”, individual formula will be competed and the limited number of 150 registered athletes will be confirmed, to avoid overcrowding of the paths and guarantee the participants a higher quality level.
