Andreas Seewald shows us the stages of the Mediterranean Epic 2022

From 10 to 13 February 1st international clash for marathon athletes e cross country. The Mediterranean Epic 2022 is ready to start from Castellón, Oropesa del Mar (ESP).

It's the first big clash of the mountain bike season: the Mediterranean Epic, a 4-day UCI Hors Catégorie stage race in Castellón, Oropesa del Mar (ESP).

All top 12 of the UCI World Marathon Ranking will compete in Spain. Among them the current MTB Marathon Men's World Champion Andreas Seewald from Germany and the current MTB Cross Country Women's World Champion Evi Richards.

Recall that in 2021 a great Daniele Braidot won, at the starting line again this year.

3 Italian teams at the start: Wilier Pirelli, Soudal Lee Cougan International Racing,, Wilier 3C Force and RDR Italia. They will have to contend with squadrons like Canyon Northwave, the new Buff Megamo (presentation link) and Team Bulls.

THE STAGES

1st stage, 10/2: Oropesa del Mar-Oropesa del Mar: 27,5 km - 600m elevation gain
2nd stage, 11/2: Castellon-Castellon: 58 km - 1.700m of elevation gain
3rd stage, 12/2: Oropesa del Mar-Oropesa del Mar: 93 km - 1.650m of elevation gain
4rd stage, 13/2: Oropesa del Mar-Oropesa del Mar: 49 km - 1.050m of elevation gain
