"I came from a period of high intensity races and therefore not really in top form, but I decided to participate also in terms of preparation at high altitude in view of the rest of the competitive season of enduro races - commented Andrea Garibbo at the end of the awards - a competition format that amused me: it is important to manage yourself well and above all to have a battery consumption strategy, also according to the direct opponents. Despite a special stage that saw him close in seventh place, Edoardo Franco managed to keep second place in the general classification, 16'28 ”behind Garibbo. A test, the one today, where the portage (i.e. the transport of the e-bike on the shoulder to overcome stones and particularly hard uphill sections) also required the participants to demonstrate their strength and inevitably influenced the final time trial.
Third place of the day for the flying Dutchman Rob Meeuwessen who accused "only" eleven minutes from the winner, but which allowed him to conquer the third step of the podium in the general classification, overcoming his direct opponent, the French Nadine Sapin.
