Mercedes presents a new electric bike with record torque

The new Mercedes e-bike presents record data, including weight, but it has little bike.

Mercedes brings various innovations in a new concept of electric bike: the gearbox is only one with belt transmission instead of chain. The belt is reinforced with carbon fiber and designed to last up to 30.000 km without the need for maintenance. A bit like in cars.

POWER AND AUTONOMY

The power is a record: 750W (0,75 kW). There is a though: this value is equal to 3 times that of as allowed by the Highway Code. Then he trespasses on the scooter disguised as a bicycle, a moped!

The wheels are 29 inches while the autonomy is declared in 120 km with a charge of 3,5 hours.

PRICE

The price is € 6.340 for a weight of 29kg! But remember that, in case of purchase, it must be regulated as it is to a moped (at least in Italy).
