Val di Fassa is preparing to welcome with great enthusiasm the spectacular stage of the UCI Enduro World Cup, which will be held next 24-25 June on the trails of the Val di Fassa Bike District. Fifth round of the season, after the exciting Swiss stage in Leogang, the stage of the World Cup moves to the splendid setting of the Trentino Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site.

With the event just around the corner and the athletes already arriving in Canazei, the race route has just been announced. In total, the participants of the enduro race will face 5 special stages for a distance of 44 km and a negative altitude difference of 2.935 metres. There will be two of the most popular and iconic special stages of Val di Fassa: the legendary "Tutti Frutti" (Stage4), with almost 6 km of track and a vertical drop of 900 metres, which starts from the scenic Col Rodella ridge almost to the village of Canazei and the "Titans" technique (Stage1), a 3 km descent with a vertical drop of about 700 meters in the Ciapac area.

The last round, the Stage5 "Ciasates" will end right in the Event Village area, surrounded by the heat of cheering on the edge of the track.

While the athletes will make use of the lifts to overcome most of the positive difference in height of the race, the spectators will have the opportunity to take advantage of the FassaLift cable cars to reach the most suggestive panoramic points from which to follow the action.

The main lifts available to the public are three and not far from the Event Village. The Ciampac cable car in Alba di Canazei allows you to reach the upper part of special stage 2 "Titans". The Canazei – Pecol cable car in Canazei, reachable on foot from the paddock area, which offers access to the start of the Stage3 "Electric Line", while the Col Rodella cable car in Campitello di Fassa leads to the spectacular start of the Stage4 "Tutti Frutti".

But today the focus was on Trento, where the shared press conference was held with Val di Sole – site of the next stage of the UCI MTB World Series – at the Trentino Marketing headquarters.

Trentino, the official sponsor of both world events, has always been the scene of major sporting events and is now also the land of off-road cycling, one of the few regions in the world to host 4 of the 5 disciplines that are now part of the world series: Cross Country, Short Track, Downhill and Enduro also in its E-EDR electric version.

Paolo Grigolli, Director of APT Val di Fassa, underlined the objectives of the Enduro World Cup, including increasing awareness of Val di Fassa and Trentino as a tourist destination for mountain bike lovers, extending the summer season and the promotion of growth and collaboration between entrepreneurs and local actors. “In Val di Fassa we are also focusing on a rapidly growing segment, promoting the development of the e-bike, a practice full of adrenaline and adventure, but not necessarily extreme, which does not require specific sports facilities” says Grigolli.

Andrea Weiss, President of the Società Grandi Eventi Val di Fassa, underlined the importance of sporting events and sponsorships in promoting tourism and enhancing the Val di Fassa brand. “The new Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi company intends to support organizations that already successfully carry out events in our valley and to be a point of reference for new initiatives” declares Weiss.

In conclusion, the Race Director William Basilico of the Fassa Bike Organizing Committee intervened, underlining the importance of the certification of the event as Eco Eventi Trentino: "The recognition of enduro as an official UCI discipline has catapulted Val di Fassa and Trentino among the best cycling world championships. We are honored to be part of this great movement and we will try to offer the best of our trails, with an open vision to sustainability and the protection of the wonderful landscape of the Dolomites".
