Punks clip securely to helmet straps and offer crystal-clear sound and unlimited group communication, so mountain, gravel and road cyclists can listen to music and talk to each other, leaving their ears uncovered to maintain awareness during the ride.

Aleck's Party Mode — an always open mode of group communication — is a key feature of Punks. With Party Mode turned on, riders don't need to slow down or turn their heads to talk to each other; they can concentrate on the ride and continue to share jokes, whistles, shouts with their pedaling companions, as if they were pedaling shoulder to shoulder. Unlimited range means anyone connected to the group via Aleck's app can join the conversations, whether they're on the same trail, miles apart, or just across the street !

“We are thrilled to finally introduce the Punks to the cycling community,” said Stephen Catterson, founder and CEO of Aleck. “Our team has dedicated their experience and passion to designing a product, which fits the unique needs of riders and it has been really gratifying to see the enthusiastic first testers. The next step is to introduce the Punks to as many cyclists as possible; we are, therefore, thrilled to announce that our Kickstarter campaign is now active and that shipments will begin this summer”.

The Punks are lightweight, weighing in at 16 grams each, and are sold in pairs to be worn on either helmet strap, for balanced audio to each ear. They do not interfere with driving or vision and provide focused, high-quality sound without annoying noise/noise pollution. The Punks can be used in any outdoor condition thanks to expertly tuned “near-ear” headphones/speakers and dual microphones that block the wind and ensure clear communication, whatever the weather.

Aleck's free app (available on iOS and Android) powers the Punks' features, including ease of group communication through open channel Party Mode with unlimited participants, Push-To-Talk walkie-talkie style and real-time location of group members via Friend Finder, to easily reach a mate who has passed us.

Punks can be pre-ordered by visiting Aleck's Kickstarter site. Punks is the bike industry's first wireless near-ear audio and communication system, and it enhances the cycling experience. Various package options are available, starting at $99.

The product will arrive on the European market in early summer 2023 at a selling price of 149,90 euros.
