South African Alan Hatherly won the men's race with superiority. Neff ran an intelligent race and excelled in experience.

The mini world cup in Spain, in Chelva, saw some big names at the start. The 2022 edition of the Chelva Challenge Gsport Internationals kicked off a great XCO show.

The women's event had an impressive starting grid that included Olympic champion, Jolanda Neff, and world champion, Evie Richards. The Englishman, on a not perfect day, will retire.

The race started under the impulse of the Italian Martina Berta, who starts like a sling followed by Jolanda Neff and Linda Indergand. Two Olympic medalists leading the race with the Italian Santa Cruz.

In the following laps the leading trio continues to gain ground while from behind, Isla Short tries to return but without success. In the last lap Jolanda Neff attacks and goes to win in front of Linda Indergand and Martina Berta.

In the men's race Alan Hatherly wins alone a race dominated from the beginning. Or rather, Henrique Avancini is the first to attack but after being caught by Hartherly during the 1st lap, he falls downhill and loses the shine of the first part of the race. David Valero made another of his comeback races, reaching 2nd place, then lost to Filippo Colombo. Maxime Marotte also had a good race finishing 4th while Vlad Dascalu finished a very solid race in 5th place.

12th place for Luca Braidot while the performance of Nadir Colledani, still not in full shape (29th) and Juri Zanotti (33rd), is dull.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
