Aaron Gwin and Rachel Atherton win in the DH realm

Athletes on the Wake Matteo podium at the Mountain Bike World Cup awards ceremony in Val di Susa.
Triumphant boys on the mountain bike podium in Val di Susa, fresh from the World Cup awards ceremony.

An extraordinary audience in Val di Sole for the World Cup final. A fantastic return after last year's sabbatical. The public was present in a great way and watched the race with a unique enthusiasm. The winner was Aaron Gwin, who completed the umpteenth masterpiece of this 2015, also winning the general classification of the World Cup. In second place Loic Bruno and third Troy Brosnan.

Excellent performances by the other Italians competing with Gianluca Vernassa who conquers a fantastic 27th place. In 43rd position we find Francesco Colombo while in 46th Carlo Caire.

Rachel Atherton wins, like Aaron Gwin, the final test and the overall of the UCI DH World Cup 2015. Second position for Myriam Nicole and 3rd for Manon Carpenter. Here too Italy figures well with Veronika Widmann who finishes in 8th position while Eleonora Farina gets 11th place.

Incredible emotion in the Junior category where Loris Revelli closes the winner by winning his first stage of the UCI DH World Cup. The audience was everything to him and it is nice to hear after so many years playing the hymn of Mameli echoing in the World Cup… great Loris!
