Vittoria Group announces the construction of a new production site in Thailand. The $ 20 million investment will contribute to the expansion of the Lion Tires Thailand (LTT) production facility - located in the Bangpoo industrial district - whose area will grow from the current 36.000 square meters to the future 52.000 square meters. The new factory will welcome 400 new employees in modern production spaces that promote sociality and well-being. The facility will be operational from the end of 2022 and will allow Vittoria Group to double its tire production capacity in the years to come.

The cornerstone of the new plant will be sustainability. The building will use solar panels, smart air conditioning, organic and recycled materials as well as energy-saving power grids. It will be the world's first zero-emission bicycle tire factory.
The plant will be dedicated to the production of premium tires, the choice of many professional cyclists and amateurs around the world. The building's 16.000 square meters will house product testing and research equipment, fostering the continuous development of technologies essential to making the most advanced bicycle tires on the planet.
On 23 September 2021, the land on which the new production site will be built was inaugurated in the presence of the senior management of LTT, representatives of the Thai and Italian industry and the Ambassador of Italy in Bangkok Lorenzo Galanti.
The relations between Vittoria Group and Thailand are lasting. Since opening the first factory in Bangkok in 1988, Lion Tires Thailand (LTT) has grown to become the leading manufacturer of high quality bicycle tires. LTT's operations are located in five factories between Bangkok and Rayong, including the famous research and production center for graphene compounds and the only extruder capable of combining four compounds in a single tread (4C).
Massimo Zanco, Vittoria Group Chief Operations Officer, commented: “The new production site of Lion Tires Thailand is a necessary investment to satisfy the demand for quality products and speed of distribution that comes to us from the market”.
Stijn Vriends, President & CEO of Vittoria Group, commented: “We are very pleased to invest again in Thailand, the most advanced location for the development and production of high quality bicycle tires. The construction of the new plant is a further step in the journey we have undertaken towards a sustainable and zero-emission production model ”.
