“Cycling tourism on natural routes as a catalyst for the development of local economies”
A title that aims to open the debate on virtuous models of collaboration between tourist boards, activities
economic and MTB associations, capable of generating value in less central but high-income areas
potential.
It is now evident that the bicycle is today a driving force for the economy and sustainable tourism, especially in
visions that are more attentive to the environment and inclusiveness. But the fact that, for its tenth anniversary, IMBA Italy is being hosted
in a historic castle surrounded by a centuries-old garden is also a concrete sign of recognition
institutional goal achieved: MTB is no longer a niche, but a resource.
We are proud to organize this fifth Gathering in our tenth anniversary year, and to do so in the extraordinary location of San Secondo di Pinerolo, just a few kilometers from Turin, where we have our headquarters. The support of Turismo Torino, which has been committed to promoting outdoor sports and mountain biking for years, further strengthens an event that aims to be accessible to everyone: professionals, associations, and local communities that believe in cycling as a tool for growth.

Speakers and guests: authoritative voices for a concrete discussion
Making the tenth anniversary edition even more significant will be the speeches of leading figures in the world of cycling tourism, event planning, and regional promotion, coming from all over Italy.
The conference will be moderated by Edoardo Melchiori and Luca Bortolotti, president and vice president of IMBA Italy.
Among the speakers this year we are pleased to announce that we will have:
● Paolo Pinzuti, CEO of BikeItalia / Bikenomist
● Rocco Filidoro, President of MSP Cycling and co-organizer of the Tuscany Trail
● Alberto Surico, contact person for the Alta Val Chisone and Val Susa of Turismo Torino and Davide Benedetto,
promoter of the Upslowtour project
● Michele Oriente, Director of the Valsugana Tourist Board
