What is the E Ride Fest?
It is a "Green" event dedicated to the E-bike world which mixes adrenaline and the excellence of the territory. During the two-day event the riders were able to appreciate the area thanks to dedicated tours and compete with each other in an innovative race format.
In fact, on Saturday 14 October, E-bike excursions were held to discover the paths of the Dianese Gulf, with departure and arrival in Diano Marina.
On Sunday, however, the highlight race of the event took place, the first E-bike Avalanche in the world, from 0 to 1000 meters and from 1000 meters to 0!
The format of the race, much appreciated by enthusiasts, involves participants all starting together and, after a short run, taking possession of their bike positioned on the ground on the starting grid. The first to reach the end of the track wins. In the case of the Avalanche E-bike the novelty is given by the fact that the qualifications were held with the same format, but uphill.
In the Diano Marina race, the route saw the riders face a climb of 1000 meters in altitude up to Pizzo d'Evigno, and then embark on a descent of almost 30 minutes to the sea.
Uphill, the fastest was the Frenchman Théo Charmes, while downhill the top three were:
• Lucas Vega (TK MTB team), first overall
• Flavio Piccardo (Biciclando team)
• Dario Desantis (Biciclando team)
The organizers of the E-Ride Fest wanted to thank the Municipality of Diano Marina for the commitment it is making to grow this "movement" in the Dianese Gulf, the Colle degli Ulivi, Alpek bike, the Hotel & Apartment Sasso, the Pam Panorama, Natural Boom, Tannus, LC e-bike Fossano, Stefania Favero and all the staff for their support and collaboration.
“They were two incredible days for everyone, two days of sharing, discovery and adrenaline,” declared Fabio Martino, CEO of The King Mtb. “Now we immediately get to work for the 2024 edition, because the idea is to make this event the Italian and international point of reference for all pedal-assisted enthusiasts”
