The all-new TREK Slash+ adds formidable assistance to Trek's award-winning enduro bike

Slash+ brings the smooth, quiet assist of TQ's HPR50 motor to the brand's award-winning enduro bike, offering 170/170mm of high-pivot suspension, MX wheels, adjustable geometry and a lightweight assist that makes it easy to squeeze in a few extra laps .

Today Trek revealed one of the most anticipated e-MTBs of the year: the all-new Slash+.

Motor and battery

The Slash+ is powered by the same engine that helped Trek's Fuel EXe gain recognition from countless publications: TQ's HPR50. This quiet, compact motor has the look, sound and feel of a traditional bicycle and provides a smooth 50nm of boost to help riders ride up hills without feeling fatigued. The motor is powered by a new, larger 580Wh battery that screws securely into the top tube but can be easily removed with a hex wrench for storage or transport. Riders looking to tackle even more intense days in the saddle can add an optional Range Extender for 160Wh more power.

High pivot, more momentum

Like the motorless Slash platform, the Slash+ offers 170mm of high-pivot suspension for crazy twists and speeds. On descents, the high pivot rear axle path allows the rear wheel to move with the terrain, maintaining momentum and traction. Aiming uphill, the high pivot, paired with the HPR50, opens up a new world of capability for tackling the most extreme climbs.

Optimized for any trail

Slash+ can be adapted to any type of trail and any type of biker. Leverage rate can be changed with a simple gesture and geometry can be adjusted one degree up or down without affecting bottom bracket height with angle-adjustable headset cups (sold separately). The Slash+ also has plenty of room for bigger, beefier tires, coil shocks, and longer dropper posts.

Made for challenges

To tackle the toughest slopes, Slash+ is equipped with a 29˝ front wheel and a 27,5˝ rear wheel. Riders get the benefits of a 29er on rougher terrain and the added clearance of a smaller rear wheel for more room when they need to back up.

Other details

Slash+ features an integrated chain guide to fully capture the chain and keep it secure when the trails get rougher. Rugged guards protect the downtube from rock impacts and keep the chain quieter on the trail. An impact-resistant Carbon Armor laminate under the paint adds further durability.

HOW MUCH DOES THE TREK SLASH+ COST?

The specialised farming model SLASH+ 9.9 is offered at €12.299 while the model SLASH+ 9.7 SLX/XT to 8.199 €.
