The IMBA Italia 2025 Gathering celebrates 10 years of activity with a successful event in Pinerolo. Discussions, trails, and an increasingly united community.

In the heart of Pinerolo, between history, nature and paths, the fifth edition of the IMBA Italia Gathering, an event which this year also celebrated the tenth anniversary of the association.
On October 25 and 26, 2025, the Miradolo Castle in San Secondo di Pinerolo (TO) has hosted over 100 participants coming from more than ten Italian regions, united by the desire to discuss the future of mountain biking and outdoor tourism in our country.

A concrete discussion on the future of cycling tourism

Central theme of the 2025 edition: "Cycling tourism on natural trails as a catalyst for the development of local economies".
A lively and well-attended conference brought together tourist boards, administrations, associations and operators in the sector, offering a real and multi-level overview of the state of MTB in Italy.

Among the speakers:

  • David Benedict (Pinerolese Mountain Union)
  • Jade Armando (Turin Tourism)
  • Michael East (APT Valsugana)
  • Elisa Gallo and Giovanni Bruschi (FIAB)
  • Paolo Pinzuti (BikeItalia / Bikenomist)
  • Rocco Filidoro (MSP Italia / Tuscany Trail)
  • Costanza Luconi (Maritime Alps Protected Areas)

An authentic dialogue, which focused on the concrete challenges of the territories, the sustainable management of trails, and the role of mountain biking as a tool for local development.

An event to be experienced, not just listened to

As per tradition, the Gathering was not limited to training moments: Sunday was dedicated to bike rides on the trails of the Pinerolo area, with field tests and technical comparison on the use of the new IMBA app and on the ITRS scale, the trail classification system promoted by IMBA Europe.

The convivial atmosphere, networking moments and outdoor activities made the weekend a real meeting point for the Italian mountain bike community — among experience, comparison and desire to build.

The statements

This edition was both a confirmation and a new beginning. Nearly one hundred participants, many ideas, and a genuine desire to network. The 2025 Gathering embodies the original spirit of IMBA Italy: sharing, education, and concreteness.
