The penultimate round of the UCI Marathon World Cup will take place in the famous mountains of Morzine-Avoriaz, while the final round of the UCI Enduro World Cup will conclude on the iconic slopes of Châtel. The first to exit the starting gate will be the Marathon athletes, who will face a 100km route with a difference in altitude of 4400m!

In the men's competition, the Italian Fabien Rabensteiner (Wilier-Pirelli Factory Team MX) leads the overall with an advantage of 134 points ahead of the Czech Martin Stošek (Canyon Northwave MTB Team). It's a similar story in the women's race, with Lejla Njemčević of Bosnia and Herzegovina leading the standings with just two races to go, leaving Switzerland's Janina Wüst (Buff Megamo Team) and Germany's Adelheid Morath with work to do in Morzine-Avoriaz this weekend if they want to remain in contention for the general classification.

On Sunday it's the enduro riders' turn, who will face seven major stages that will determine the first overall winners of the sport's UCI Enduro World Cup. The route is almost 60 km long and has an incredible negative altitude difference of 3600 m in a single day of racing. Isabeau Courdurier (Lapierre Zipp Collective) is almost certain to lift the trophy in the women's competition. The Italian Gloria Scarsi (Canyon CLLCTV Dainese) will try the coup in the single stage.

In the men's category it is Richie Rude (Yeti/Fox Factory Racing) who will most likely be crowned the overall winner. His closest rival Alex Rudeau (Commencal Enduro Project) who is expected to win the race and hope for a performance outside the top 6 of the American. So anything is possible.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
