Among the new features of Garmin Varia RCT715, we remember:
- Integrated Camera: To record clear and sharp images up to 1080p / 30 fps during each outing.
- Automatic saving in the event of an accident: in the event of an accident, it allows you to automatically save images of what happened, including the moments before and after the event.
- New functions from the Varia app: allows simplified access to videos and customization of some camera parameters, such as superimposing useful data such as speed, date and time of the accident or geographic coordinates.
The new Varia RCT715 can provide anywhere, anytime Garmin's renowned safety features, including:
- Sounds and notifications, which warn of the presence of vehicles approaching and overtaking, up to 140 meters away2, for up to eight vehicles approaching
- Rear light, which can be seen up to 1,6km away and makes it easier for motorists to spot the rider even before the radar is activated.
Among others, Garmin Varia RCT715 is compatible with Garmin Edge® devices, Garmin smartwatches or the Varia app for smartphones3. When paired with a compatible smartphone, it integrates with third-party apps, including “Ride with GPS”. This allows cyclists to use maps and radar notifications at the same time.
With radar and light on, Garmin Varia RCT715 guarantees up to 4 hours of battery life, which rises to 6 hours with radar and flashing daylight, always with the camera in continuous recording mode at 1080p.
