SKIING AND CYCLING IMMACULATE FOR A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER
The extraordinary and unique spectacle of Vermiglio will be the culmination of a long weekend of the Immaculate Conception, to be experienced on the snows of Val di Sole: for this reason, APT Val di Sole and the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium have designed a tailor-made package to experience better a weekend to remember, between skiing and great cyclocross.
Those who will stay in one of the participating structures (the list is available on www.pontedilegnotonale.com/it/events/coppa-del-mondo-di-cyclo-cross/) will in fact be able to benefit from a 50% discount on the ticket price and a 20% discount on the ski pass for the lifts in the Pontedilegno-Tonale area. When purchasing the package at one of the participating hotels, the discount code will be provided to be entered when purchasing the ticket.
THE PROGRAM
The weekend of the only Cyclocross World Cup trial in Italy, organized by APT Val di Sole and Grandi Eventi Val di Sole with the support of the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium and the direction of Flanders Classics, will open on Saturday 9 December with the trials free, scheduled from 14pm to 00pm. The races will take place on Sunday 16 December, with the Elite Women taking center stage from 00pm, followed by the Elite Men at 10pm.
Conquering the snows of Vermiglio in the 2022 edition were the Belgian Michael Vanthourenhout and the Dutch Puck Pieterse, whose fortunes in Val di Sole continued in the following summer season. In 2023, the 21-year-old Dutch woman won both the Commezzadura stage and the general classification of the MTB World Cup.
