Capoliveri takes center stage on the MTB world stage: the second stage of the 2026 UCI HERO arrives. Cross-country Marathon World Cup
The countdown has begun: on Saturday 9 May Capoliveri, on the Island of Elba, will host the Capoliveri Legend Cup 2026, the second round of the UCI HERO Cross-country Marathon World Cup.
The weekend will kick off on Friday, May 8th at 16:00 PM with the HERO Race Talk, a public event featuring some of the World Cup leaders following the first stage on the Costa Blanca. It's a chance to learn about the stories, preparations, and behind-the-scenes insights of the world's top mountain bikers.
The race will take place on Saturday, May 9th: starting at 8:30 a.m. from Viale Italia with the Elite men, followed by the Elite women, Masters, and amateurs. Two routes are planned:
- 73 km / 2.600 m elevation gain (Elite)
- 45 km / 1.600 m elevation gain
The first men are expected to arrive around 11:45 a.m., with the Elite Women and Masters arriving approximately 45 minutes later. The awards ceremony will take place at 13:00 p.m.
The Capoliveri Legend Cup confirms its position as one of the key events on the international MTB calendar, attracting hundreds of riders from all over Europe every year.
The event will be broadcast live on four continents from 10:30 to 13:00 (CEST) on the UCI YouTube channel and on the official HERO UCI Marathon World Cup website.
