2023 was the year that Canyon's innovative product announcements and impressive sporting performance took a step forward: they now count 15 world champions on their roster of riders. Let's recap what happened this year.

New riders, more victories
In early 2023, Canyon announced the signing of a number of high-profile riders. Sam Pilgrim (UK), Mille Johnset (NO) and Jessie Melamed (CA) were warmly welcomed onto their CLLCTV MTB. Heather Jackson (USA) and Jasper Ockeloen (NL) joined their Gravel CLLCTV, Chelsea Sodaro (USA), Sam Laidlow and Hayden Wilde (NZ) came on board to support Canyon in the triathlon, and Fabien Barel (FR) and Alex Cure (FR ) formed the Canyon E-Enduro team.
In particular, the haul of 13 gold medals at the UCI World Championships stood out. This includes Chloe Dygert's victory in the individual time trial and Mathieu van der Poel's victory in the Road World Championships. Elsewhere, CANYON//SRAM Racing's Kasia Niewiadoma won the Gravel World Championships, Fabien Barel won the E-Enduro World Championships on the Strive:ON and Sam Laidlow won the Triathlon World Championships on the Speedmax. That's a total of 15 rainbow jerseys riding Canyon bikes next season.
Company news: focus on innovation and customer centricity
From a business perspective, it was a progressive year with the Best Employer award for the third consecutive year and the opening of the new headquarters and innovation laboratory which consolidated their mission to be the most innovative company and inspiring in the bicycle industry. To offer customers another face-to-face point of contact, they have also opened a new Canyon Factory Service location in Eindhoven.
The launch of the Canyon app in 2023 marked the evolution of the direct-to-consumer model and gave Canyon cyclists the ultimate digital bike companion. The app offers bike service information, purchasing options and stories, as well as a smart Bike Garage where riders can find all compatible parts and exploded views for their Canyon bikes. With this app, Canyon offers riders and fans industry-leading features to deliver more personalized service and shopping experiences. Canyon has also looked into the future by imagining what app-based online shopping might look like thanks to a pioneering study with the University of Darmstadt.
