A TRICOLOR GOAL!
For Salice it's time to celebrate! The company of glasses, ski goggles and helmets founded in 1919 on the shores of Lake Como turns 95! A truly important milestone for Salice Occhiali, an almost centenary representative of Made in Italy in the world of sport. Ability, intuition and a lot of passion, these are the secret ingredients of the success of the Como-based company that will continue to bring the Italian flag to the podiums of cycling, alpine skiing, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, triathlon, motocross and many other sports.
Gravedona ed Uniti (CO), 04 April 2014 - It can be said that with its 95 years Salice Occhiali has witnessed the growth of sports in Italy and beyond. From a practice reserved for a select few, like alpine skiing after the war, to mass dissection, like today's cycling, sport has marked the last century and even more the third millennium, and a brand like Salice has crossed these eras by dictating a lot often styles and trends.
An important birthday, that of Salice's 95 years, especially considering the delicate period in which the entire Italian economy finds itself. Founded in 1919 by Vitaliano Salice on the shores of Lake Como, the company is now led by her granddaughter Anna Salice, third generation and first female.
"See Italian" is the company claim, a direct affirmation that expresses exactly what the Salice Occhiali brand is, that is the Italian spirit as an element of strength, not only by reporting the colors of the tricolor on the frame of its glasses and on the caps of its helmets, but stubbornly maintaining all production in Italy, to ensure high levels of quality. A courageous choice that for almost a century has received continuous confirmation, not only from the world of competitive sport, but also from the amateur one.
Cycling, mountain biking and skiing, but also running, triathlon, motocross, roller skis, enduro, kitesurfing, canoeing, beach volleyball, mountaineering, rowing. There are many sports where Salice products have been (and still are) protagonists, as evidenced by the numerous athletes who choose the brand as a training partner towards important competitive goals. There are numerous sponsorships in which the company believes and which are nothing more than a translation of the team spirit that animates the Salice group: the Lampre Merida team in road cycling, the record-breaking skier of the launched kilometer Simone Origone, the blue of the Silvia Brocard fund, just to name a few.
So here we are. Ninety-five years of dedication, attention to detail and continuous research of new solutions to the needs of the sportsman; almost a century of confidence in one's own abilities, investments and stubbornness towards ever larger and more ambitious goals. A focus that is always present in the management's everyday life, which has made it possible to reach a turnover of 5,2 million euros achieved with 33 employees, all employed in the single headquarters in Gravedona ed Uniti, on the northwestern coast of Lake Como. Salice Occhiali can boast an annual production of nearly 400.000 pieces, totally Made in Italy and exported to 50 countries through national distributors. The strength of the product lies not only in its high quality, but also in its “right” price, as well as in the direct relationship that the company has with its retailers and customers, who can count on people ready to meet their needs. In fact, Salice Occhiali makes a difference not only on the quality of the product but on the effectiveness of the service, and we know that very often this is a winning element in successful case histories. And Willow is.
