8 October: MTB Electric Party powered by Pippo Marani

Montecreto in the province of Modena, immersed in the chestnut woods at the foot of Monte Cimone, will host the Pippo Electric Party on October 8th, a cycle excursion reserved for E-bikes.

Yes, because, if the Senators Enduro Cup went into hibernation for the 2023 edition with its five-stage championship reserved for enduro agonists, the convoy of the Senators Crew (ed. Technical Staff) did not stop and in full formation will give support for the Montecreto proloco, for the organization of the first edition signed and desired by the great Pier Paolo (Pippo) Marani.

Known to everyone in the world of MTB at 360°, the multifaceted Marani is considered the custodian of the history of MTB in our country, the most famous trail builder in the world and creator of the feared "Black Snake", the World Cup route in Val di Sole , in which technique and physicality brought all the most famous bikers into line. Spiky white hair, lean physique of someone who plays sports, friendliness and frankness, Pippo to the sound of Yeeaah, has experienced the bike in all its forms, starting to pedal on the road 50 years ago. In the 80s he was one of the first to become passionate about BMX and Downhill, just landed in Italy from the USA.

He was born and lives at the foot of Cimone and right at the foot of the highest peak in Emilia Romagna, his "Party" takes shape with 2 routes.

Monte Cimone district

A simpler one. called "soft", a tourist excursion suitable for all riding levels, which aims to introduce the "Wildest" areas of the territory.
The second route, however, is the more "crispy" one with an eye always on discovering the area but also dedicated to the more experts who want to try the hard trail experience.

For both routes, the departure is scheduled from the Montecreto square in via Roma and for both both refreshments and e-bike charging are guaranteed, in pure "stray" style as Marani likes to define them, because a ride must always be accompanied by good company, from a slice of salami and a nice glass of wine offered for the occasion by the Franchini Agricultural Company.

The event is totally free and open to all, the obligation, in addition to wearing a helmet and protections because safety comes first, is only in registering presence with the available online forms in the SenatorEnduroCup social networks. At the start, a gadget will be given to remember the day together, offered by the Imolese company HandMade ( handmadestudio.it ), already the main sponsor of the Enduro championship in Emilia Romagna.

Now all that remains is to polish your E-bike, charge the batteries to the maximum and rely on the expert guides who will take you to discover Cimone and beyond, crossing Montecreto, Sestola and Le Polle.
