The Consortium has chosen to host the gathering IMBA Italy Gathering 2022 in the village of Valdaora with the aim of explaining to the participants in depth the existing projects, which we will try to carry out in the course of 2022, to realize a trail area near the town to organize driving courses for both children RIDER locals and mountain biking tourists.
Among the novelties that will be presented at the meeting IMBA Italy Gathering 2022, the changes to the Gassl trail that starts from the top of Plan de Corones and descends along the Valdaora side, changes that will make it more attractive and passable even by RIDER less experienced thanks to the inclusion of some structures that will make the driving experience more enjoyable and fun even for the most experienced enthusiasts.
Particular attention was also given to the sustainability aspect of the event.
In fact, the locality of Valdaora is also easily accessible by train and is just a few minutes' ride from the valley station of the Olang1 + 2 lift, the last one rebuilt on the Plan de Corones and which reaches the mountain station in a few minutes thanks to the wide range of the plant powered by energy from renewable sources and produced in the provincial hydroelectric plants.
On the occasion of the rally IMBA Italy Gathering 2002 the local APT will offer free public transport throughout the provincial territory to guests staying at the affiliated businesses; an additional incentive to leave the car and travel on foot or by bike and with the possibility of reaching all desired destinations using public transport. Already started in June 2021 with the Trail Building Workshops dedicated to the staff of the ski lifts in the area, the collaboration between the South Tyrolean town and IMBA Italia is sealed, which can't wait to be able to return to the local trails to discover together with the participants in the event the latest news offered by its vast network of trails.
An event not to be missed both for IMBA supporters in Italy and for mountain bike enthusiasts as in the two days of the event it will be possible to participate in many collateral activities also to discover South Tyrol.
