#5 World Cup XC Lenzerheide: Excellent 8th of Martina Berta

Favorite Loana Lecomte wins ahead of Jenny Rissveds and Alessandra Keller.

Loana Lecomte takes her second consecutive victory in the 2022 XCO World Cup and reminds all her opponents how difficult it is to beat her when she is in top form. The goal in this 2022, she is not hiding it, is the world cup.

RACE REPLAY

On a dry and spectacular circuit, thanks also to the always large audience present, Loana Lecomte was once again the best and now she is also aiming for the World Cup overall, given that Rebecca McConnel (after an extraordinary start to the season) is now suffering a decline of condition (he closes in 14th place) and at the end of this race he must give the leadership (only by one point) to Lecomte.

The race started with Loana Lecomte, Jenny Rissveds and Alessandra Keller in the front row, with Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, Jolanda Neff and Rebecca McConnell right behind.

Unlike 2021, Loana Lecomte waited for the end for the decisive attack, not killing the race right away. This is Loana Lecomte's seventh World Cup victory and her first at Lenzerheide.

Behind her, Jenny Rissveds just 8 seconds and then Keller in 3rd place. 4th place resulted in a tight sprint between Anne Terpstra and Pauline Ferrand-Prevot. The Frenchwoman was the fastest, with the Dutch completing the podium.

Martina Berta closes in 8th place: it seems that after the injury she has a new self-awareness and we can't wait to find the optimal state of form. She could really entertain us.

famac@famac.ind.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
