Four-cross has been added to the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and the UCI Mountain Bike and Trials World Championships in 2002, replacing the dual slalom (existing from 1998 to 2001). It was removed from the World Cup after the 2011 season. A replacement World Series, the 4X Pro Tours (no longer under the auspices of the UCI), was launched in 2012 and continues to this day.

2023 looks to be our best 4X season ever before the gate even drops. We return to the places that have always supported the 4X ProTour, which provide perfect organization and immaculate slopes.
