Il 2021, awaited by all with great expectations of restarting, is unfortunately once again struggling with a resurgence of the pandemic and with the renewed uncertainty on developments in the near future.
In this climate the Superenduro board reluctantly decided to continue with the forced stop of the circuit also for the 2021 season and to concentrate all the energies and resources in four stages of the Enduro World Series which will take place in Italy: Val di Fassa, La Thuile, Pietra Ligure and Finale Ligure.
This decision has also matured in the light ofexperience made in 2020 with the co-organization of the two Ligurian stages of EWS, very successful events of which we must be proud, but which at the same time allowed us to experience first-hand what was the necessary effort and the resources put in place to achieve them.
Il superenduro has always tried to do the races in the best possible way and this standard, to which must be added all the aspects relating to anti safety Covid, would not be guaranteed.
Up until the very end, valid solutions were sought that would allow the organisation of suitable competitions and events, but a fair balance was not found. balance between efforts, resources and guarantees of success.
What certainly hasn't diminished in this pandemic year is the desire to race and hit the gas, and with four EWS rounds in Italy, there will certainly be plenty of opportunity to put yourself to the test.
The long EWS race weekends for how they are structured they offer everyone the opportunity to run. The PROs have the classic EWS format, but also AMATEURS and top riders without the EWS Global Ranking can compete and compete in the EWS 100 and EWS 80 formulas.
The EWS100 and EWS80 races These are top-level competitions, on a tough race course designed to challenge the pros, with polished paths and sections and top-notch organization.
Although taking part in the EWS individually is not the same as participating in the National Superenduro Circuit, we believe that 2021 can still be a year of growth and development for the national enduro scene, and to ensure this happens, we have decided to focus all our energies on achieving this goal.
We want to thank you all those who have written and expressed their closeness and interest in Superenduro, the many loyal riders and teams, the partners with whom we are in constant contact and the places that, despite everything, were ready to get involved.
During the season On the Superenduro channels we will try to give you all the necessary support and useful information to stay updated and understand how to participate in the Italian EWS races on the calendar.
But remember that the EWS attracts a huge number of people, so it's unwise to wait until the week of the race to be sure of good weather before registering... you need to be more decisive here!
Meantime here is the first important date!
La week of February 8th Registration is now open for the EWS100 and EWS80 in Val di Fassa, La Thuile, and Pietra Ligure, as well as for the Rider Trophy in Finale Ligure, a unique enduro race in the world with a team format.
For EMBA members who have a high score in the EWS Global Ranking and are therefore included in the Reserved Entry List, registrations will open from1 5 to February.
Stay tuned and keep your engines running hot. Soon we'll be back to experience some of the thrills that only racing can provide, and we can't wait for that to happen.
