The UCI Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships in Haderslev promise to be fast, with the riders tackling a 40km lap with around 500m of elevation gain. The men will do three laps and the women will do two laps, plus a 7,5km loop after 24km.
The route to Haderslev is very scenic, passing through the Pamhule forest on a single track, and the lakes that originate from the ice age: Lake Haderslev, Hindemade, Lake Tørning, Lake Stevning.
Being less technical, the course will reward runners who can tackle the 120 / 87,5 kilometers at a high pace.
