2022 bike bonus: starting from September 2022 it will be possible to request contributions ranging from € 500 to € 1000 for the purchase of cargo bikes and bikes, at the cost that the shopping has been made starting from 29 June.

Bike bonus
This initiative was advanced a few years ago and had been very successful. We remember the bike bonus from 2 years ago. Unfortunately they have never been renewed again, at least not at the national level. Now the local authorities have thought about it and this year have decided to introduce bike contributions and bonuses.
Who can submit the application
All those who work in the Bologna area or who live in the municipality can request them. Exactly on August 4th, the website of the Municipality of Bologna updated the incentives card and added that of the bike bonus, giving the necessary information on who can submit the application, how to submit it and what are the requirements to be met.
A contribution of € 500 is therefore due to all those who meet the requirements and who want to buy a pedal assisted bike. While those who want to buy a cargo bike have the opportunity to receive incentives of € 1000.
The bonus covers half of the total expense. This time the initiative and the bonus are not aimed at everyone but it is likely that something will change in the next period. The municipality of Bologna has made available to its population a total of 5 million euros which are intended to bring everyone a little closer to comfortable green solutions. Who knows that the idea will not be taken into consideration by all the Italian regions.
