70 athletes at the start with 7 Italians at the start: Specia, Cortinovis, Tormena, Zanga, Plankensteiner, Challancin and Graf. As expected, Line Burquier (Canyon CLLCTV Collective) dominates the test closing in 1 hour 7 minutes and 48 seconds. Second place for Puck Pieterse and third Sofie Pedersen.
The second stage of the Under23 World Cup which took place in Albstadt (Germany) gave another podium to the Wilier Triestina - Pirelli Factory Team thanks to Giada Specia who finished his test in 5th place.
For the young athlete it was a comeback race after a not brilliant start, but with intelligence and stubbornness she managed to climb up to fifth position, conquering another good result after the third place in Brazil.
“I struggled a bit in the first laps, also because the race pace was very high right from the start. I didn't have the leg to stay with the very first, but I picked up my pace and managed the race well and finished the test in fifth position, a result that leaves me satisfied anyway.". Giada Specia.
