It will be Saturday 15 October 2022 the day of the thirteenth edition of the Capoliveri Legend Cup, thinking of offering you the possibility, in addition to running on a legendary course, to enjoy with your families a season finale in a period in which the Island of Elba still offers beautiful days, with a climate that also allows bathing.
"In a calendar year, our Organizing Committee passed from the 2020 Italian Championship to the Legend 2021, with five international events completed, also an organizational record considered the pandemic year, passing from the Test Event to the Easter leg of the Legend XCO, International stage of Italy Series, up to the peak of the Uci Marathon World Championship 2021. All this required a great commitment and an immense waste of energy, physical and mental resources for all of us, as well as great emotions and pride. Everything suggested a well-deserved break. It would not have been possible to re-propose the race in spring, returning to position ourselves in our most comfortable period of May, considering the commitment that will be up to us again at Easter 2022 with the XCO race, positioned in the UCI International calendar with the HC category, a new milestone and recognition for our young history. Too little time would be to organize a Capoliveri Legend Cup as we want to offer it, offering what has made us appreciate over the years, tricks and details that have earned us your trust. We opted for an autumn period where on the Island of Elba, thanks to a climate that in October still allows pleasant stays, ideal both for sporting events and for a holiday dedicated to sport and nature, a reason for seasonal adjustment for the our Tourism.
