INTEGRAL DELAYED LINK
After five years of absence, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup returns to Lourdes. The result of yesterday's qualifying is reversed, Amaury Pierron, despite a slight flaw, wins the first stage of the 2022 World Cup. In second place with a gap of +0.847 we find the Canadian Finn Iles and on the last step of the podium an incredulous Loic Bruni visibly sorry.

Spectacular was the appearance of Martin Maes aboard an Orbea Rallon mounted with a double plate, unfortunately the fork alone could not change the geometry of the Spanish endurona who betrayed the Belgian by taking him beyond the ribbons, nullifying the dream of a good placement.

Loris Revelli closes in 35th position, less fortunate Davide Palazzari who slips shortly after the start closing the Lourdes parenthesis in 54th position.
