In the women's race, the New Zealander broke away on the first lap of five with Ronja Blöchlinger (Liv Factory Racing) but the Swiss rider was unable to hold off Maxwell on the climb. The world champion finished with an advantage of around 24 seconds over Blöchlinger, despite a crash on the final lap which reduced her lead. Third was the Swiss Ginia Caluori (Thömus Akros Youngstars).
The Danish Sofie Heby Pedersen (Wilier Pirelli Factory Team XCO) finished in fourth place and retains the leader's jersey in the general classification. In the men's race it was another show of strength from Frenchman Adrien Boichis (Trinity Racing MTB) who led from start to finish. Only the American Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing
Canadian Carter Woods (Giant Factory Off-Road Team XC) finished third mirroring Friday's Short-Track podium. Boichis maintains the overall lead with two rounds to go.
