The penultimate stage of the 2026 UCI Enduro World Cup provided thrills and unexpected twists at the end of two grueling days of racing at the Aletsch Arena-Bellwald (Switzerland).
Ella Conolly looked set to secure her second consecutive UCI Enduro World Cup title after another dominant performance, extending her lead with a stage five victory. However, a puncture on stage six threatened to ruin the celebrations. The Briton fought back magnificently, limiting the damage and securing the overall victory with a 33,4-second lead over UCI World Champion Elly Hoskin.
In the men's race, Ryan Gilchrist (Yeti / Fox Factory Race Team) mounted a remarkable comeback on day two, claiming his first UCI Enduro World Cup victory. The Australian won the final three stages, vaulting to the top of the standings and finishing more than 20 seconds ahead of his rivals.
The Junior categories also offered plenty of reason to celebrate. Switzerland's Elena Frei delighted the home crowd by claiming her first UCI World Cup victory in the Women's Junior category, while Hugo Marti Montessinos continued his dominant season with his fourth victory in the Men's Junior category, a result that mathematically secured him the overall UCI Enduro World Cup title with one stage to spare.
In the team standings, Speed Project capped off its triumphant season by mathematically securing the overall team title with one stage to spare. Yeti / Fox Factory Race Team, winners of the Aletsch Arena-Bellwald stage, remain second in the overall standings, while Abetone Vittoria Nencini Sport Factory Team completes the podium.
