Less than 10 days to go until the very first UCI Enduro and E-enduro World Championships in history and finally it is possible to reveal the two race tracks on which the challenge will be held for the rainbow jerseys and the four titles up for grabs: Enduro and E-enduro, both men's and women's.
The event takes place in the spectacular scenery of the Fassa Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site, with the organizational center located in the welcoming town of Canazei, already famous for having hosted three stages of the Enduro World Series circuit in 2019, 2021 and 2022 and the UCI Enduro World Cup in 2023.
The route winds along three sides of the Val di Fassa: the Pordoi Pass, the Sella Pass and the Ciampac area, all easily reachable by the public on foot from the paddock area or via the fast Fassa Lift ski lifts.
For the public present, it will be possible to collect, at the Event Information Center located in front of the stage, the brochure and the map of the route with all the useful information to enjoy the show to the fullest and not miss a single moment of the race. On the official website of the event instead it is possible to consult the Spectator Map and follow the progress of the competition or the fight for the title in real time at this link: https://events.fassabike.com/follow-the-race/ .
The Enduro route includes 5 special tests over a total of 42,4 km, with 1.200 m of altitude difference pedalled and a good 2.800 m of descent. The most important tests, Titans, Infinity SE e AllFruits, covering 80% of the track and will be the most challenging and decisive for the result. The two shorter, but no less intense, tests are Mulled wine e Ciasates. The latter will conclude the challenge, with a spectacular finale as it will be entirely broadcast live on the big screen in the arrival area, and before the start there will be a reorganization of the competitors to make the show even more exciting! The fastest up to that point will start last, and the temporary leader will sit on a special Hot Seat in front of the audience.
For E-enduro, participants will instead face 9 special tests divided into two loops, for a total of 52,8 km and 3.439 m of descent with a battery recharging moment in the paddock in Canazei between one loop and the other. In addition to the descents shared with the Enduro, there will be two Power Stage unpublished, Bridge 72 e Beakers, which, despite being short and mainly uphill, are highly technical and therefore spectacular and decidedly crucial for the ranking!
To ensure fairness in the competition and to allow for marking, the race tracks will remain closed until the start of the official trials on September 13th. For those who want to ride the park, however, the other trails of the Val di Fassa Bike District will remain open and accessible even during the event!
New in the green and sustainability field for these World Championships is the use of a special ribbon with low plastic content (about 60% less than traditional ones) and with water printing for a certified saving of carbon dioxide equal to 475kg.
The UCI MTB Enduro and E-enduro World Championships Val di Fassa Trentino will officially start on Thursday 12 September at 20.00:14 with the Opening Ceremony and the National Athletes Parade through the streets of the historic centre of Canazei. The Enduro and E-enduro trials will be held on Friday while the races are scheduled for Saturday 15. Sunday XNUMX September will be the “Ride, Test & Explore” day, dedicated to the public, where they can visit the paddocks, meet the athletes and ride on the race courses still warm and steaming from the very important challenge that has just concluded.
