A day of rare intensity lived on the Altopiano del Sole, where, at the start in Borno, the atmosphere was charged with adrenaline under threatening skies and oppressive humidity. The best MTB marathon specialists battled it out to win the 2025 tricolor jersey. Among them, riding our team's Scott, Andrea Siffredi stood out right from the start.
The 68 km route with 3.100 meters of elevation gain, made particularly challenging by the first 13 km towards Lago di Lova, Colle Mignone and Rifugio San Fermo, immediately highlighted Siffredi's determination and offensive approach. In the company of Gioele De Cosmo, Andrea imposed a tight pace on the climb, managing to detach the group and pass in the lead on the first peaks. The subsequent technical descent towards Parco delle Doline was managed with lucidity by the Scott Racing Team representative, who gained precious ground while several opponents, including Porro and Foccoli, were slowed down by punctures. The second lap gave no respite: after the new ascent to Colle Mignone and, under increasingly insistent rain, to Monti di Cerveno, Siffredi's advantage continued to grow, despite the tight pursuit of Samuele Porro.
The long final descent and the final sprint towards Ossimo decided the race, where Andrea Siffredi crossed the finish line alone, stopping the clock at 3h 40' 47” and winning the title of Italian Marathon Champion 2025, with a margin of just 8 seconds over Porro.
