Welcome spring!

With the change of time, the opportunities for all bikers increase. Finally, it is not necessary to wait for the weekend to immerse yourself in nature with our adventure companion

The calendar tells us that the middle season has already arrived a few days ago, but for us bikers the watershed between winter and spring is the last Sunday in March; when through a timing trick 'the days get longer.

The change of the hour is the real starting point of the season for many of us, when it is possible to usher even during the week, thus 'stealing' some time for our passion.

Spring has always been the awakening of the senses, the warming climate invites you to spend more time outdoors. It is the best time to go by bike, partly because during the winter the outings become less and therefore the desire increases, partly because the climate is milder; you suffer less and you can enjoy the sensations that a single track can give to those who have the senses to appreciate it. But spring is the perfect period for the discipline exhibition also because the paths are usable; the autumn leaves have thinned out, the ice and snow that often cover the trails are gone and the vegetation is still young and timid.

Over time, even some bike parks have discovered that spring can also be an opportunity for them; so, here are many now extending the season, transforming what was born as a filler business into a profit opportunity.

THE FAVORITE TRAILS

We all definitely have the trail of our heart, just as there are some trails that we prefer to ride in the summer, others in the winter and still others are our favorites for spring.

In my play list there are some mid-mountain tours that begin to be usable in this season, the snow melts and you can start climbing.

Perhaps the trail with which I like to inaugurate the summer is the Bogianchini, for friends the 'Bogia', a classic that starts from the top of Mottarone and arrives in Omegna, a long ride that is often not accessible in winter due to the snow.

I will shortly take you to the discovery of this splendid trail in which the terrain mixes, transforming the descent into an ever-changing experience.

The Departure of 'Bogianchini, a terrace overlooking Lake Orta from which the stages of the second stage of the e-enduro will start on 21 and 22 May

Another tour that I prefer in spring is the Sacchi bee ring; we are still in Cusio, Lake d'Orata is still in the background but you go up to the opposite shore, the perspectives change, but the suspended charm of the mountain remains, far from the noise and bustle of the city. A long ascent that reaches the Camasca bee; , divided into three sectors, the second of which is very steep. A hiking tour that does not have the descent as its main focus; but that allows the biker to travel and grind kilometers in the beech woods and savor the atmosphere of the remote mountain.

The slopes of Alpe Camasca towards the Sacchi. Despite a little snow, they can also be covered in spring

Finally bind; because spring also comes the time to put the number back on the handlebars and test yourself in competitions, to see if the speed decreases as the number of candles on the cake increases.

There are some places that are inextricably linked to these emotions; every time I go back, memories and sensations light up in which adrenaline, expectations, joys and disappointments mix in a special cocktail. There are three places that know how to arouse the greatest number of emotions in me:

Pogno, the classic of the national enduro classics, the Zegna oasis and its neighbor Coggiola, where the competitive adventure of this 2022 will begin with the first stage of the 4 enduro.

So welcome spring and have fun to all of you two-wheeled dreamers who have rediscovered your travel companion these days.
