Brandon Semenuk is a Canadian freerider from Whistler, British Columbia. Semenuk is a three-time gold medalist at the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour. He is a five-time winner of Red Bull Joyride, X-Games Real MTB gold medal (2021) and X-Games silver medal (2013) in the Mountain Bike Slopestyle event. Winner of Red Bull Rampage on 4 occasions: 2008, 2016, 2019 and 2021.
He is known for being “always emulated, never imitated” and is known as one of the best slopestyle/freeride mountain bikers in history. He started out in cross country, competing in the BC Cup for the first time at age 9. He also competed in four-cross early in his career. At age 15, Semenuk’s talent was spotted by Andrew Shandro. Shortly thereafter, Shandro offered Semenuk a professional contract with Trek.
Semenuk has also been interested in rallying from a young age and, in April 2020, was welcomed into the Subaru Motorsports rally team alongside Travis Pastrana. He took his first professional rally victory on October 5, 2020, at the Missouri Show-Me Rally.
