We are faced with a single block rear stay connected to the front triangle via two links. The shock absorber can be operated from the rear as well as from one of the two levers.

The Santa Cruz VPP scheme employs links that rotate in opposite directions (one counterclockwise and the other clockwise), while for others, such as DW-Link employed by Ibis and Pivot, they rotate in the same direction (clockwise).
Basically it is always a quadrilateral pattern but with the pivot on the chainstays. Also in this case the direction of the wheel axis is dictated by the movement of the instantaneous center. These systems allow you to vary the soul of the bike, such as the value of the Anti Squat, as the excursion varies and therefore have fewer constraints than systems single pivot.
